INTERNATIONAL FOOD MARKET

The market takes place in the pedestrianised High Street in Christchurch in May (first Saturday and Sunday) of the Festival from 10am to 5pm.

The street is filled with more than 100 stalls selling a wide range of food and drink and food-related items. You will find everything from olives to oils and asparagus to anchovies.

Many stalls in the market give you the opportunity to taste their wares before buying. There are also a number of food outlets where you can get snacks or meals to eat on the go or sit at a table in the (hopefully!) sunshine and enjoy at your leisure.

Children are well catered-for during the market as there is a Kid’s Kitchen on both days at The Priory School with sessions for kids aged 3 to 14 who can take part in a range of hands-on cookery workshops.

And don’t forget the free cookery demonstrations in the marquee with celebrity chefs along with chefs from local restaurants. For 2012 the marquee will be located in the top Wick Lane car park at the back of the Regent Centre.
