Christchurch Food Festival launches Patrons’ Scheme

Christchurch Food Festival launches Patrons’ Scheme

The Christchurch Food Festival will be holding an exclusive event this month to launch the Christchurch Food Festival Patrons’ Scheme. Taking place on Thursday 8th March 2018 at 6.00pm, the event will be hosted by the Christchurch Food Festival’s official hotel partner, the Captain’s Club Hotel.

Guests at the launch will be welcomed by the festival’s Ambassador and TV celebrity chef Dean Edwards, who will talk about the patrons’ scheme, touching upon the benefits patrons will receive during the festival weekend of the 12th 13th May and throughout the year at other Christchurch Food Festival events.

Chair of Christchurch Food Festival, Sue Harmon-Smith, said: “When organising the festival, we always felt that with our visitors having such a good time over the festival weekend, it would be great to spread that fun over the whole year and help the festival at the same time. Being a Community Interest Company (CIC) and most of the organisers doing a brilliant job entirely voluntarily, we are always looking at ways to find revenue to sustain the festival and build on its success year on year. The Festival Patrons’ Scheme seems a perfect way to encourage local people to enjoy great benefits at an affordable membership price and at the same time supporting our lovely festival”.

Simon Box, owner of Lord Bute Hotel and festival organiser, added: “The Christchurch Food Festival has grown into a nationally respected and highly successful Dorset event since its inception nearly 20 years ago. To recognise the enormous support we have received from many individuals and businesses we are delighted to launch this new initiative. By joining as a patron of the festival you will enjoy a number of member’s benefits including priority and discounted tickets to all festival events, free access and use of the VIP Bar on the Quay throughout the festival weekend, and reserved seating in the Festival Demonstration Theatre as well as much more”!

The annual patron membership fee is £25 per person or a joint membership of £40.
