The Christchurch Food Festival will be holding an exclusive charity lunch with celebrity chef, Dean Edwards, to announce the chef’s appointment as Ambassador of the festival.
Taking place on Thursday 8th March 2018 at 12pm, the event will be hosted by the Christchurch Food Festival’s official hotel partner, the Captain’s Club Hotel. The lunch will also help raise money for the festival’s own charity, the Education Trust, which helps to promote the health of Christchurch’s young people through better education, training and guidance on nutritional health and food preparation.
Guests will be treated to a welcome drink; two-course lunch inspired by Dean; a glass of Sommelier’s choice wine; coffee and treats; and a talk from Dean himself, touching on his personal and professional experience, followed by a Q&A session.
Celebrity Chef and Ambassador of the Christchurch Food Festival, Dean Edwards, said: “I’m really looking forward to appearing at Christchurch Food Festival, and this year is a very special one as it will be my first appearance since having the honour of being made Ambassador. The festival is an incredible event set in the most stunning location and I for one can’t wait to hit the stage at my favourite food festival!”
Managing Director of the Captain’s Club Hotel and Trustee of the Education Trust, Tim Lloyd, added: “I’m extremely proud that the Captain’s Club Hotel is able to host such a worthwhile charity event, and delighted that as the official hotel partner of the festival, we’ll be doing our part in raising money for the Education Trust.”
Tickets to attend the lunch cost £35 each, with £5 of each sale going to the Education Trust, and can be purchased online via the Captain’s Club Hotel website: https://www.captainsclubhotel.com/event/festival-lunch-dean-edwards/
