The incredibly popular Festival Street Market and Festival Village will be back on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th May spread throughout the town centre and on Christchurch Quay opening at 10am and closing at 6pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday.
The Street Market is held in Christchurch High Street with over 100 stalls, many of them local producers of top quality products, selling a huge range of everything to do with food whether it is ingredients, cookware, food to eat at home or a takeaway to enjoy whilst browsing. There are also breweries, wines and spirits to sample and enjoy.
In Saxon Square, we are welcoming Broil doing BBQ demonstrations and some hands-on training as well so you can get up to speed before those warm summer evenings of BBQing in the garden. Whilst in Druitt Hall and Druitt Gardens, Dorset Made Food will have artisan food producers, craftspeople, as well as entertainment for all the family.
Down on Christchurch Quay (or the Quomps as it is known) is the Festival Village, which is in its third year. The Lovett Demonstration Theatre provides the focal point, with a full schedule of chefs, both celebrity and local, demonstrating all sorts of great dishes.
At the Village too is the Kids’ Kitchen where children of all ages can pre-book sessions learning how to cook. Have a look at the Kids’ Kitchen page on this website to see the full details.
There are also a great many excellent stalls, an extremely well stocked Beer Festival featuring local beers, entertainment and lots more besides.
