Highcliffe Revival Food Festival is back again for 2017, and bigger and better than ever now taking place on two days over Saturday 20th May and Sunday 21st May in the main high street at Highcliffe.
With Hoburne Holiday Parks as the major sponsor, the food festival has attracted some well-known names. Chefs signed up are Luke Matthews, Executive Head Chef from the prestigious Chewton Glen Country House Hotel; Manuel Salomon from the Cliffhanger in Highcliffe, Kevin Brown, Head Chef at the Lord Bute Restaurant and Hotel; Colin Nash, Head Chef at The Three Tuns at Bransgore; Ian Gibbs, Executive Head Chef of Urban Guild in Bournemouth & Poole and Jennifer Williams the expert forager and preserve maker from Naked Jam.
There will be a huge range of stalls offering artisan foods and popular takeaway food stalls. Hoburne will be setting up a new children’s entertainment area and plans are already well afoot for a ‘Cookery Hub’ which will take place in the Methodist Church Hall and feature the cookery theatre and popular “Kids Kitchen”. A children’s baking competition will also be displayed in the hall and Sunday afternoon will feature chocolate making workshops by “Chocolates by Miss Witt.”
The Chewton Glen Country House Hotel will be opening their new cookery school for visitors on the Sunday and there will be events and special offers in local restaurants. All of this together with a Japanese tea ceremony, a children’s baking competition and plenty of musical entertainment will promise a really great weekend of celebrations for the village.
